Addiction

I wanted to quit,

To stop thinking of you

That’s easy to say

Impossible to do

Dreams of you

Are playing in my head.

And if I can’t have you,

I’ll go to sleep instead.

My hands ache

To hold you again.

My mind is overflowing

feelings it cant contain.

Run through

leave me broken

Agonizing over words

Left unspoken

I try very hard,

To smile, to forget

But I can’t escape
